  1. BSOD errors one brand new computer - one week old

I have a brand new ASUS computer windows 10 and have Malwarebtyes premium and AVG Internet Security on it. When I tried to first install AVG it did not work. So, I ran the first week with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender on. No problems.

I then got AVG cleaner, uninstalled Malwarebtyes, and installed AVG. But since Malwarebytes and AVG have both been on my computer I have had two BSODs. One DPC Watchcode and another Security Kernel Check failure. Both Event ID 41 task 63.

Is there any chance my Malewarebtyes and AVG don’t like each other and are causing this.

This story gets worse too. I bought a new computer because my 2 year old Lenova had the very same BSOD errors. A windows reinstall and a new hard drive cost 250 in total and after that I had 22 BSOD errors and had invested way too much in my computer person guessing at what might be causing the BSOD.

Any recommendations? I am fine with ditching AVG and going with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender if that is safe enough. But this problem I am having is really annoying --- and expensive.

  2. Brand new PC BSoD

    Hi,

Corrupted drivers and system files are one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We'd like to get additional information to help resolve the issue. Kindly answer the following questions below:

    • What is the stop error code showing on the screen whenever you experience BSoD? (e.g.: 0x0000000A, 0x0000003B, and 0x000000EF)
    • Did you installed any third-party applications on your new computer before the issue started?
    • Is there a specific action you're doing on the computer that triggers BSoD?
In the meantime, we suggest performing the possible solutions in this
    article
to help resolve blue screen errors.

We'll keep an eye out for your response.

BSOD Memory Management - brand new computer

Bought an Acer Aspire E5-521G-866N week ago. It came with Win 8.1, but I've upgraded to Win 10.

Today it crashed with the error message memory_management.

Tried restarting, safe mode etc. but it just wont get past the bsod page. Currently resetting the machine. Writing from my old computer, which runs win 7 (and thank god for that).

Obviously I can't run any diagnostics or memory checks, but ram being corrupted on a machine that is one week old would be rather surprising. Seeing as quite a lot of people are having the BSOD memory management problem, it occurs to me that the problem
is more likely with Windows 10.

    So how to fix this?

backing up old computer to new one

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and my current computer has Windows 7. I was considering putting the old hard drive into the new computer until I found a topic here where it wasn't suggested.

Users mentioned backing up the computer but there was no mention of software so I'm wondering what software do you use to transfer programs and documents from one computer to the next? Is the success transfer rate lower since it's transferring from a HP Windows 7 to a Cyberpower Windows 10 computer?

I have a WD external drive on the way large enough for a backup file to transfer to the new computer. Is there a free program that can be used? My new computer has a SSD which is new to me but I think I'll only upload the previous computer files to the main hard drive. One of my current external WD hard drives has a file labeled "Do your data recovery" but don't know anything about it and that drive doesn't have enough room to do a backup anyway.
