  1. Cannot enable hyper-v + Cannot run any VM

    Hello,

I used Hyper-V on this laptop before andd it was normal back then. then I Disabled it and turned AMD-V in BIOS. After that I Enabled AMD-V Again, and installed Virtual Box and 64 Bit Iso s Dosen't work, also when i try to enable Hyper-V, My windows reboots and crashes infinitely. with error [Paged File in non paged area]. I have to go in safe mode, and disable it manually to boot normally. In msinfo32 it says "A Hypervisor has been detected, Features of Hyper-V Will not be displayed". Please help me. I cannot run any VM.

    :)

Hyper-V PowerShell module fails to create new vm

I have a problem with Hyper-V PowerShell module, it fails to create a New-VM on my machine.

It worked fine until I had to reinstall Hyper-V feature in Windows 10.

Since then cannot create VM with powershell cmdlets, creating a VM in GUI works

    I receive the following error

New-VM : Hyper-V encountered an error trying to access an object on computer ...... because the object was not

found. The object might have been deleted, or you might not have permission to perform the task. Verify that the

Virtual Machine Management service on the computer is running. If the service is running, try to perform the task again

    by using Run as Administrator.

I am the Administrator on local PC, and I checked Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service, and it is in a running state.

    Tried to rebuild MOF file

    MOFCOMP %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsVirtualization.V2.mof

also tried to uninstall Hyper-V feature and reinstall it with powershell, and still no success.

    Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V

    Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V -All

    Any other ideas?

    I have Windows 10 Pro, version 1709

    Regards,

    Igor

    Can't Enable Hyper-V in Windows 10 Professional

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate your effort on this. As per my research the error code 0x800f0831 is generated when .Net Framework 3.5 is not enabled on the computer. I suggest you to try enabling .Net Framework 3.5 on the computer. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + R, to open
      Run
      dialog box.
    2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
      OK
      .
    3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
    4. Now, select the check box for .Net Framework 3.5 and click on
      OK.
    5. Restart the computer.

You can also check if Virtualization feature is enabled in BIOS or not, if it is not enabled, I suggest you to enable it.
