Windows 10: I want to set YouTube Music as my default music app

Discus and support I want to set YouTube Music as my default music app in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I know that it isn't a Microsoft store app therefore you can't do it via settings, but is there an alternative?     Can Youtube music be configured as the 'default' music player in Windows 10 Pro?

    This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about using the Youtube Music app as the default music player in Windows 10 Pro.

    As of the moment, the Youtube Music app cannot be used as a default music player for Windows 10. You may try to check the default apps on Windows 10 Settings to see what apps can be used as a default music player.

    1. Click the Start button and click on settings (gear icon)

    2. Click on Apps and click on Default apps.

    3. Click on Music Player and click on "Look for an app in the Microsoft Store"

    4. Microsoft Store will open and will give you a list of apps that can be used as a Music Player.
