Windows 10: Pound Symbol

Discus and support Pound Symbol in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; Is there any way to add a Pound symbol to the keyboard? I bought my HP Pavilion in the M.E..     Is there any way to add a Pound symbol to the keyboard? I bought my HP Pavilion in the M.E.. It uses a dollar symbol, even though I have the keyboard set to UK English..

    Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • Open Onscreen Keyboard; click Shift key on the keyboard and click
      Pound symbol.

    Assign symbol to keyboard

    Greetings, I'm using W10 on Dell XPS13.

    I know how to switch input language: US/UK.

    I know how to insert pound symbol in Word: ctrl+alt+4

    What I'm trying to find out is how to insert pound symbol outside of word - ie here, or email etc.

    Changing input language doesn't do it.

    Ideally, I'd like to permanently assign ctrl+alt+ something to give me pound symbol, but I just can't find any information.

    Anyone got any suggestions please?

    Oh, I did find SW to install, and change script, but I'm a bit wary of that. Other suggestions?

    Sorry for delay in replying . I still have the problem - cannot do as was suggested as no pound symbol appears on online keyboard so any other suggestions would be welcome . Thanks meantime .
