Windows 10: why can't I access my documents after window update

After restart following windowas update I can't access my Documents or my Quick Access files

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

after allowing windows 10 to update, I now have no access to my documents.

I can't access my folder on the server at work


I did something really stupid, apparently.

In the list of users for a folder I need, it showed EVERYONE as having all access privileges (along with some other users too). I denied access to EVERYONE, thinking that the permissions for the other users would remain. It didn't. Now I can't access the folder, even as one of the other users or as an administrator.

Any suggestions?
