    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community and sorry for the delayed response.

    In order to assist you better could you please confirm a couple of things:

    • While dragging and dropping do you get an option to change the bit transfer rate?
    • If yes, have you tried changing the bit rate?
    If you get an option I suggest you to try changing the bit rate manually while dragging and dropping and check if this helps. Also please be informed that its by default your files are being transferred with the bit rate 160 kbps. So you may leave a feedback
    by using the Windows feedback App.

    Hi Charles,

    the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

    In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

    Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

    My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

    Hi BORDERREIVER(2),

    When you drag and drop files and folders in Windows, they will get moved or copied by default based on the source and destination locations.

    1. If you drag and drop a file/folder from a location on one drive to another drive, then the default action will be to copy the file/folder to the drop location.

    2. If you drag and drop a file/folder from a local location to a network location, then the default action will be to copy the file/folder to the drop location.

    If you drag and drop a file/folder from or to a CD/DVD or Blu-ray, 3. then the default action will always be to copy the file/folder to the drop location. This cannot be changed.

    4. If you drag and drop a file/folder from a location to another on the same drive, then the default action will be to move the file/folder to the drop location.

    5. If you drag and drop a file/folder to the Recycle Bin, then the default action will always be to move the file/folder to the drop location. This cannot be changed.
