Windows 10: USB 3.0 has stopped working after latest Windows 10 update, to version 2004.

I have uninstalled device and reinstalled driver several times, but it won't "stick." It seems to work for a moment during the install process, but after it completes, I see this message in the device manager properties for " Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub" : Device status -

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged. Code 19

I have searched for an answer, but none of the normal solutions seem to work. I have tried to roll back to last version, but didn't appear to be successful. Tried the last and only Restore Point, but that didn't help, either.

Any help out there???

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

Step 4: It will start downloading the update and also shows the percentage of download.

The "Open Diagnostic Data Viewer" is broken in Windows 10 (64) Version 2004

Since the issue is still not solved so as to the next step I would suggest you roll back the Windows 10 2004 update and try updating it again following the below instructions.

To Rollback windows 2004 update follow the below instructions:

Open Settings by typing in the search box next to windows icon

Click on Update & Security.

Click on Recovery.

Under “Go back to the previous version of Windows 10,” click the Get started button.

Select a reason why you’re uninstalling version 2004.

Click the Next button.

Click the No, thanks button.

Click the Next button.

Click the Next button again.

Click the Go back to the earlier build button.

Once you complete the steps, the device will remove the latest feature update, and it’ll revert to the previous version

Keyboard and Mouse Stopped Working After Updating To Version 2004

Did you find a solution?

I had this same problem after "1909" version (3 weeks ago).

Yesterday I got the "2004" version and my keyboard is still not working.

Already made the drivers thingy (at least it helped with the tactile keyboard, never had problems with the mouse with "1909"). I can not believe I will have to work with an external keyboard forever, I mean, c'mon, there must be a solution as I'm not the only
one.

Also making the reboot and going back to another version doesn't work. I didn't try it of coursre but other people (including near friends) tried it and it didn't work.

Hi, I had a customer who was running 1909 which automatically updated to 2004.

Once updated the USB keyboard and wireless usb mouse stopped working.

In device manager lots of USB devices had issues and was reporting to be missing drivers.

This seemed to just affect input devices as I connected USB drive and that worked.

Luckily this PC had PS2 connectors and I used a seperate laptop to download USB drivers direct from Gigabyte (This was a custom PC) and then used a USB drive to copy the drivers over and installed using a PS2 keyboard which was working and not affected by
this issue. But overall a lot of stress for my customer and this shouldn't have happened.
