  1. Update 2004 BSOD

    Hey guys,

I just discovered I'm still on Win10 1909, therefor checked for new updates. After installing 2004 i got an "inaccessable boot device" BSOD, changes were undone. Second attempt gave Error 0xc1900101, then the update was'nt available anymore.

Manual update ended up in repair screen. Tried the batch file from over here. I'm still on 1909, is there any solution except a clean install?

    Specs:

    • Ryzen5 3600
    • Sapphire RX 580
    • Corsair Vengenace LPX 16 GB 3000MHz (XMP)
    • Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB NVMe
    • MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC, BIOS Ver. E7B85AMS.1B0
    • Adrenalin Ver. 20.8.1

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:

    Update 2004 BSOD

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Update 2004 BSOD :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
