Windows 10: Why does Windows 10 not have the option to show the battery percentage in the system tray?

This annoys me so much, why do they not have the option to show the battery percentage, there aren't good alternatives out there, I tried the open source "percentage" which looks blurry / unreadable, I tried batterybar pro which only has like 2 themes on the internet, one of them is broken and the other one is too large and the stock themes look outdated, I just want to see when I'm close to a certain percentage without having to hover so I can plug in my charger without having to deal with surprises when I'm in a borderless game for example, it makes me so mad and annoyed that this is the only OS I know which doesn't have a visual representation even after all those years

Battery Percentage on the icon in the tray.....how can I make that appear for windows 10?

i have the lenovo x1 carbon, no changes have been made and Ive already tried the steps in that link which only fixes the issue of "no battery icon in tray" it does nothing to fix the issue of not having the battery percentage

 

The Battery Icon is showing the wrong battery percentage level on windows 10.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I also am on the Windows 10 Creators Update (Build 16215). I tried both steps, and while they are a band-aid, they do not fix this issue. I have a Lenovo Yoga 910 if that helps at all. When I follow those steps, it corrects the
battery percentage, but only for that instance. It still does not work correctly after that.

 

how to show battery percentage

I've been searching and looking at the settings. Isn't there a way to show the battery percentage on the status bar at the top of the screen? Seems obvious this should be present but I can't find it.

Here's what I mean - In the picture below, you see my home screen. The battery percentage is not shown. I see a somewhat descriptive icon of a bettery, but would like to see the percentage.



In order to see percentage, I have to actively swipe down as in the picture below -



By comparison, here's the home screen on my older Android-based screen. You can see the percentage of the battery next to the icon.

I'm assuming iOS does this also -
