    Need help: screen is flickering after i sign in, and goes black after i open settings.


    I turned my computer on, and after siging in, my screen starts flickering and doesnt let me open any other apps. Ive tried to open settings, but it never loads and the screen goes blank.

    I have tried to start my computer in safe mode cause from what ive looked up online, I should uninstall my driver and update, but it doesnt let me cause it is saying my password is incorrect. Ive tried alot of things, and I dont know what to do.

    I downloaded the new windows 10 to my 10 inch notebook and now all I get after turning it on is a quick flicker of the start sign then the screen goes black and will not do anything. Can someone please tell me what to do? Can it be reversed or go back to
    windows 7? I will appreciate any help what so ever. Thank you!

    It is possible that your screen goes black may be due to a critical system error which can cause the system to shut down. To isolate your issue, we'd like to gather more information:

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    • Did you get any error messages when it turns black?
    • Have you tried checking if the sleep mode is turned on/off?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Meanwhile, we recommend that you perform the steps in this

    For all those people who face this error please find below the easiest solution for this error.

    1. First of all click on the Catalyst Control Center.
    2. Now click on ‘3D Application Settings’.
    3. All you have to do is change the ‘Wait for Vertical Refresh’ option to ‘On, unless application specifies’.
