Windows 10: iTunes playback frozen for video and music - Window 10 Pro 64 bit

System

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Intel i7-7700HQ @2.8GHz

RAM 16 GB

64 Bit operating system


My system works fine with all other playbacks. However, I have reinstalled and re-authorized the latest version of iTunes several times and computer restarts. Clicking around iTunes works fine, but when I click on a video or music for playback. Video opens a new screen and it freezes. Music playback allows clicking from the arrow to pause and back, but no playing or counting of minutes remaining in the song.


I have tried downloading the video rather than streaming. Same problem


I have changed settings in Playback Preferences from Windows Audio Session to Direct Session and back. Reboot. Same problem


I have downloaded the iTunes software directly from Apple vs. Windows. Same problem


Any thoughts?

Error during iTunes installation in Windows 10 64 bits version

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

As you said that " it worked fine with 32-bit version", and there is a problem in installing in 64-bit version. But iTunes application is compatible with both the versions. There may be an issue with the PC which/iTunes application which is not supporting
the particular PC.

The error code which you have provided is related to Windows update.

I suggest you to run the Windows update troubleshooter and check if it helps.

You can follow the steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search box present in the Taskbar.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Run Windows update Troubleshooter.

Stuttering video playback on iTunes for Windows 10

Stuttered and unwatchable video playback. No issues with my music files. I have a brand new Acer Aspire 3 laptop (ie no malware) running Windows 10. i have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes 12.10.8.2 (really painful process I do not want to do this again!).
I have experimented with video playback and audio settings (ie so compatible with my laptop sound settings). Please can you let me know a quick solution to this. This is very frustrating. Thanks.

 

Compability of Asus H97-Pro with Windows 10 (64-bit)


I'm planning to have Asus H97-Pro & Windows 10 (64-bit) in my new system.

While cross checking compatibilty I landed on Windows Compatible Products List
and according to that Asus H97-Pro is only comatible with Windows 7 & 8.

Please suggest whether Asus H97-Pro is actually compatible with Windows 10 or not.
