Windows 10: How to stop shortcut Win+C to open Cortana

Discus and support How to stop shortcut Win+C to open Cortana in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I don't like Cortana, I don't use Cortana, so I don't want Cortana.     How to stop shortcut Win+C to open Cortana


    I don't like Cortana, I don't use Cortana, so I don't want Cortana.

    I found here in the forum how to disable it using the Local Group Policy Editor.

    But I use Clipboard history a lot and many times, as I type very fast, I hit Win+C instead of Win+V.

    And when I hit Win+C I get this Cortana stuff showing up. If Cortana is enabled, it appears, and if it's disabled, it appears too.

    Is there a way to get rid of that shortcut association to Cortana?

    Win + C not activating cortana

    hello Ntelas

    the Win+C shortcut to launch Cortana in listening mode was recently changed to Win+Shift+C.

    please let me know if it works for you

    [Win+C is Win+Shift+C now] Windows 10 1607 (Anniversary Update): Cortana slowly stops responding to voice input. Win+C shortcut doesn't work as well

    Glad to hear the situation is improved!

    Note: the Win+C shortcut to launch Cortana in listening mode was recently changed to Win+Shift+C. Please give that a shot and see if that works on your machine.
