Windows 10: I'm missing a core? My computer is too laggy all of a sudden.

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I tried some optimization features for games that a friend shared with me and they didn't work out. They made my computer laggy. I created a Restoration Point in case something happened and I used it. However, the restoration didn't work. My computer is still super laggy and the games I could play before are impossible to play now.

Now, I'm checking System Information and it says I have 1 physical core and 2 logic ones. However, I have 2 physical and 4 logic. One is 1.70 GZ and the missing one is 2+.

I don't know what to do, since everything that I configured went to normal after I restored it.

This is what I did, the video is in Spanish but I guess you can see what they guy is doing.

I have an HP Envy 15 I believe. It has an i5, 650gb ram, a Gtx 840, and 8gb of RAM.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
