Open File Location for Start Menu icons

On Windows 10 rightclicking a start menu app and clicking on "open file location" doesn't open the files' "actual location" but just a folder in which the shortcut is. You then have to rightclick on that shortcut and click on "open file path" or whatever it is in english to get the actual location.

It wasn't like that in Windows 7 and I don't get why they would do this. It's just a workflow degradation that shouldn't be there.

***Original title: Why doesn't rightclicking a start menu app and clicking on "open file location" open the actual file location but a weird shortcut location instead on Windows 10?

    :)

Try removing that icon from the start menu, going to profram file folder for firefox, and doing "pin 2 start menu".

Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

You generally set that via the Start Menu settings (right-click start menu -> properties).

I had that issues a while ago, and it meant removing it from the Start Menu, and reinstalling my browser to get the icon back, it was very odd.
