  1. Wired connection problem

I upgraded to version 2004 and it disabled all of our networking we have three wired computers all running windows 10 and a couple of laptops also running windows 10. I ended up reinstalling windows to the previous version because I could not get it to work with any workaround. Now my problem is still existing. My computer FrontOffice can access all of the computers on the network. My surface tablet on a wireless connection can access all the computers on the network, including mine. The other two wired computers cannot access my computer FrontOffice. The error message states they are not authorized. I have tried every workaround in the book and on the internet. All the services are running on every computer. I renamed our Network to NALC Branch 4, I renamed our workgroup to NALC, which allowed all of the computers to show up under network. I did the regedit for the Lanman workstation parameter thing, I have updated the firewall to allow all the connections. I even added a connection rule that says do not authenticate the IP address range for the office. Someone please help me with this. The other computers need to access mine because mine has all the External harddrives with files attached. My surface can access them wirelessly, why can't the other computers that are connected to our router? I did restore the router to factory defaults as well. Any other solutions? BTW, it was working fine before I did the stupid update.

    :)

  3. Windows 10 and internet connection

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Since you are able to connect to the internet wirelessly it is just the wires connection which has issues.

It could be either wire which has problems or Ethernet port.

Before you change either of these I suggest you to try the following steps:

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter.

    a. In search Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the search box and hit Enter.

    c. Select “View all” option from the left panel.

    d. Select “Internet Connections” from the list and follow On-screen instructions.

    Regards,
