    Snip & Sketch doesn't automatically name files by date & time

    Hi,

    I recently bought this ASUS ROG Strix laptop with Win 10 Home built into it. In my old laptop when I used Snip & Sketch and clicked save, it automatically filled in the name in a very useful date & time scheme. In my new laptop it just gives you a bunch of garbled up numbers. I.e. {2B7B9A10-1DAD-4629-B7BC-C30CE677B89D}

    This is pretty much useless and I would much rather have the date & time naming back if that's still an option.

    My Windows build is Win 10 Home 1909 18363.1082

    Thanks

    :)

  2. Snip & Sketch doesn't automatically name files by date & time

    Welcome numetal *Smile

    I took a screen-shot of your post using snip&sketch and got this:

    Snip & Sketch doesn't automatically name files by date & time [IMG]

    Mine is labeled "Screenshot 2020-09-30 013134"

    The "013134" means 1:31:34 a.m. and the prefix is obvious, as it's the date of my picture and post: September 30th, 2020.

    With your build being older, perhaps maybe check if the Microsoft Store has an update to the App, as I currently saw no setting within the App that controls the file format of how an image is saved automatically by the date and time.

    What's the version of your app?

    You can also try uninstalling it (rt click it in the Start Menu e..g) then reinstall it.
