I am getting Windows Security reports saying the following apps have been blocked. On looking at the detail it advises they have been deleted, however it seems they keep coming back. The first one on 11/08/2020 does not appear to have returned. The others seem to be identical except for the HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy number. I ran an MS Defender Offline Scan a couple of days ago but the last one shown appeared yesterday. I have no experience in this but it would seem that it is an app already installed. Is there a way I can find out which app or apps are causing this so I can delete it completely? Using Win 10 version 2004 with latest update and Chrome browser Version 86.0.4240.111

Appreciate any help to resolve this.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.
