Windows 10: Couldn't add screen screen capture to Windows 10 Video Editor

When I do a screen capture with the Windows Xbox controller



I need to lower the quality of the video after recording and usually do it with Video Editor.

But now when I try to add the video I just captured to the collection either by drag and drop or "Add -> From this PC" I get following error message:



These files have properties that can't be read, so we couldn't add them.


Why is the video I just made with the windows recorder not good enough for the windows video editor?


What works though is when I go the start page of video editor, click on the 3 dots, and click "make a video for me". Then I select this video and some other thing and click on create. Suddenly its in my collection and I can use it. This is quite annoying however because its longer, it adds background music, it adds some filters and tries to already do video for you. I dont want to do that each time.

Looking for a screen capture/editor/text/organiser


Hello
I'm looking suggestion for an application or software that could
- Do a screen capture
- Edit picture with line/text/arrow
- Have an area to write text comments of the picture (not in the picture)
- Able to define categories like ex: summer/winter/family
- Able to organize /Search and display picture with categorie or text tags

It would be nice if the screen capture is within the application, but it not the screen capture or picture organizer would do the job.

Any idea or suggestion appreciated
