Windows 10: There is echo in some apps

So recently I noticed that there was a weird echo in my youtube videos. I tried to see if it was my speakers but it also did it with my headphones. I checked on google what I could do to fix that but every tip I found was for an older version of windows 10. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sound driver, which worked for a bit but the echo came back anyway. The weirdest part is probably that the echo doesn't affect every app, Groove music has no echo but Youtube and some of my games do. Does anyone have a solution for that?

Add echo?

Hey guys, wondering if someone can help.

I have a Striker II with SupremeFXII soundcard.

I need a small (pref free) software app that can add varying levels of echo to the windows sound output. Under enhancements in Win 7 all I see are bassboost, virtual encode, etc, but no echo.

If the app would have a mixer and let me specify which apps got the echo it would be even better *Smile

Lone Echo

I definitely want to play "Lone Echo". Its probably number one on my list. Number two is Gunheart. Currently I can make due with "Echo Arena". I don't want to buy "Lone Echo" right now because its only available through Oculus.

I would rather buy games from Steam because I am thinking long term and I don't necessarily trust that playing such Oculus titles down the line will be easy. Especially so if my second gen or third gen VR HMD isn't from Oculus,...

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
