Windows 10: pin unavailable reset pin

Pin unavailable on sign in screen, locked out of my computer after update.


Prompt screen says pin unavailable reset pin.

When I click reset pin the screen blurs for a second, then returns to the lock screen with the same prompt.

I can get to the windows Administrator: X:\windows\systems\systems32\cmd.exe

by using shift f5, and entering my password, but I don't write code much and that's as far as I get.

I'm locked out and desperate for some sensitive files I need for work, now.

Please help if you can.

Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

Suggestions?.

To resolve this issue with your PIN, follow these step:

• Restart your computer first, then after that, open File Explorer and browse to this location:

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

• Delete everything within that folder.
• Go to Settings-> Accounts->Sign-in Options.
  
• Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.
  
• PIN sign in should work going forward.

• Which build and version of Windows 10 are you using before reinstalling Windows?
• Have you tried resetting your PIN?
• Did you get any error messages after you verified the PIN you entered?
