  1. Computer went on hibernate in the middle of a feature update

So my laptop went on hibernate while updating.

I went to sleep thinking that it will just go on installing but when I woke up my laptop is off as well. I turned it back on and it went right back to sleep. My computer is set to hibernate after 3 hrs of idle time. But I'm so confused as to why it automatically went to sleep and then hibernate during a feature update. Is my computer still fine? Would the automatic hibernation corrupt the system files?

    Please help. I'm so confused.

  2. hibernating windows 10

    Hi Andriy,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

I understand that the hibernate option is not available after installing latest Windows update.

As you are facing the issue after installing latest Windows update, I suggest you to uninstall the latest Windows update installed in your computer and check if you are able to access the hibernate option . Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard, and select
      Programs and features.

    • Click on View installed updates on the left navigation pane.

    • Now find the latest update installed, right click and select
      uninstall.

    • Click on yes if prompted.

    • Reboot the system and check if you face the issue.
I hope the above information helps. Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance with Windows. We are glad to assist you.

    Thank you.

My hibernate never appeared from day one, so even if I Uninstall the updates, I will still have the same problem, Any idea how I can still solve this? I really need that hibernate button back
