Windows 10: Display Rotation Lock Doesn't Work

When I carry my HP Spectre x360 notebook while powered on it will rotate the orientation of the screen from landscape to portrait, resizing and realigning my open windows which don't revert when I set it down. I have to manually resize and reorient the open windows when I arrive.


I have established the following settings in Windows 2004 build 19041.572, although this has been an ongoing issue across multiple OS builds


Display Settings

Orientation - Landscape

Rotation Lock - On


Tablet Settings

Never Use Tablet Mode when I sign in

Don't switch to tablet mode when I use it as a tablet I never do


How can I ensure that my screen orientation remains locked in landscape regardless of the orientation of my notebook?

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Really needed to list more system specs and information on this issue.So this is assuming you have this and this is the issue.

Why does my screen not rotate?


The auto rotation lock feature is turned on by default in Windows 10. Use the following steps to turn off this feature.

1. Place the tablet into Pad/Tablet mode.
2. Click the Start
   
   menu and select Settings.
3. Click System.
4. Click Display.
5. Scroll down and toggle Lock rotation of this display to OFF.

• Have you checked on the action center if there is a Rotation lock option?
