Attempting to wipe and reset my computer but it won't let me.

Hello, I have recently run into some errors on my computer where the programs have taken a bit to start up, or the computer begins to stutter. So, I decided to try to wipe the computer. Unfortunately, when I attempt to do so, it gives me a very weird error. I am choosing to wipe everything FYI. I have attempted to do the Cloud download for windows, and the Local reinstall option and both appear with the same pop up error.

If I click "OK," it brings me to a screen that says an error has occurred and it says that nothing was changed, in turn not allowing my PC to wipe and reset itself. I thought okay, strange. I checked to see if I could update windows, and I had an update. Then when I tried to update windows, it provided me with another error. CODE 0x800700c1. So I can't wipe my computer, I can't update my computer, and I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

Google Chrome keeps resetting bookmarks position

Can you list what tasks/steps you've done thus far in your attempt to resolve it?

Have you logged off your profile (if using Sync) and done a complete wipe of the browser?

How about uninstall and then wipe any remaining data?

Do you have another device you can sort on that it works fine or you could test with?

Your report suggests that your installation has suffered some damage which prevents Windows from doing a reset. In such stubborn cases I would do this:

    1. Create a new media installation disk:

      Windows 10 herunterladen
    2. Run setup.exe on this disk.
It would wipe everything, including your data and all applications.
