Discus and support Win 10 Windows.iso file will not fit on DVD-R in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I periodically use the MediaCreation tool to keep an up to date windows.iso DVD.     Win 10 Windows.iso file will not fit on DVD-R


    I periodically use the MediaCreation tool to keep an up to date windows.iso DVD. Now, I'm getting an error that its too large. Have tried ImgBurn and Windows burn util.

    I work on folks pc's so need this capability.

    Suggestions?

    I guess this is a regular thing because it is March 31, 2017 and Windows 10 Home ISO is still too large to fit on a DVD +R or -R Non DL DVD. Why don't you just remove the option to burn to DVD and stop wasting people's time. Or say up front you need to
    buy some DL DVDs which many people don't have on hand. Maybe if Microsoft didn't include the trialware and other adware for Microsoft Products in the ISO it would save us a lot of grief.

    Win 10 Home ISO file too big for 4.7Gb DVD+R

    Using the media creation tool, I got a Windows 10 Home ISO file of 4,641,536 KB. Using Windows Explorer and Trying to burn it to a "4.7 Gb" DVD+R gave me the error message, "The disc image file is too large and will not fit on the recordable disc." How
    do I get a bootable install disk out of this? (My laptop BIOS can not boot from USB stick.)
