Windows 10: Minecraft for Windows 10 is showing as incompatible.

I want to install Minecraft for this computer, but the Store is warning that "This product won't work on this device." I am using a brand new Dell G3 3500. OS information below:


Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 1909

Installed on: 8/27/2020

OS build 18363.1198


I've double checked that I have no outstanding Windows updates, but it says that I'm up to date.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I request you to try installing the game in compatibility mode.

Follow these steps to install the Minecraft game in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Download the game from the manufacturer’s website.
  
• Right-click on the game setup file
  and click on ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 10 from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
