Windows 10: I can't copy or move files in File Explorer anymore, and it freezes after I open a file. Help?

Background info - About two weeks ago my desktop background image disappeared and the background for file explorer went from white to black. Now I can open a single file using file explorer, but explorer freezes after that and I have to end file explorer and start it again to open another file. I cannot copy files within file explorer or move them to other folders anymore. I am able to open, copy, and move files on the desktop with no problems. All other apps on the computer work with no issues or changes.

What I've tried: Uninstalling any updates from November. After that didn't work, I tried reinstalling them and had no luck either. I tried using DISM commands and it made no difference. I searched here for other solutions for similar problems and found nothing.

Computer info: HP Pavilion bought two years ago with no issues until now. AMD Ryzen 3 2300U with Radeon Vega Movile 2.0 GHz processor.

Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

since this happens in some of the computers only, suggest that you open the file on working computer and copy everything and paste to a new powerpoint file.
most of the time it works to me. *Smile
