    Installing Windows 10 on a new SSD won't work.


    I have a Lenovo ideapad 300 15isk and I damaged my hard drive so replaced it with a 250GB Samsung EVO 850. I downloaded Windows 10 onto a USB which came on the laptop when I bought it. I went into my BIOS at startup and changed the Boot Mode to Legacy Suppprt and the Boot Priority to Legacy First. Within that I made the USB, in my fastest slot, the first on the list. I let the computer boot, it shows the Windows icon for a while with the spinning loading circle and after a few minutes a blue screen with the Driver PNP Watchdog error.

    I've read of settings to change in the BIOS about the SATA but my BIOS doesnt have advanced settings. It's the InsydeH20 Setup Utility. I also checked the windows download on a different computer and it worked.

    What's wrong?

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
