    Why doesn't windows ever take a CLI way of alternative approach to the GUI systems?


    Powershell? Cmon they don't even try... That really sucks. I've just been running linux, it's obviously harder but some stuff with CLI is just so straightforward. It's like do this, and you'll definitely get what you want exactly, no distractions. Programmers will get what I mean. GUI's aren't always easier, you can get lost in a GUI aswell. See the convenience of this:

    sleep 3m && mpv thisthing.mp3

    wait 3 min then play the mp3. How cool is that? There isn't even a command like sleep in cmd.

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    Disk defragmenter won't open in GUI or CLI.

    Hello,

    We have a specific set of systems that run a special piece of software that is configured by a vendor. For some reason the disk defragmenter will not open. All systems are windows server 2016. CLI and GUI, not opening. Nothing reported in the windows system
    or application event logs.

    I've looked all over the Internet for ways you can disable a system from starting the disk defragmenter. No luck. I also reached out to the vendor, which are looking into this.

    Is there a registry setting somewhere that is used to prevent it from opening?
