Windows 10: How to have a different folder icon on the Navigation Pane, in Quick Access, and elsewhere?

I'm trying to set up a "Games" folder akin to the Videos, Photos, Documents, etc. folders on my machine. I'm okay not doing registry edits to have the folder actually appear in This PC, and just having the folder in C:/Users/<myuser>/, but now I'm trying to get the icon to look right everywhere.

Currently, I have two icons I want to use:

• An Xbox One controller icon, which I want to use for the File Explorer navigation pane (on the left) as well as in C:/Users/<myuser>/.
• The typical Windows 10 folder icon with an Xbox One controller in the place that the Desktop, Photos, Videos, etc. icons go (this is the icon).

By setting the controller icon as the folder's icon, my Games folder looks perfect in the navigation pane and in C:/Users/<myuser>/. However, in Quick Access (not in the navigation pane, rather if I actually select Quick Access in File Explorer), my Games folder is the only icon that doesn't have the folder in it (e.g. it's just the controller whereas the others are folders with their icons inside the folder). Is there a way I can change the icon that is shown in Quick Access without impacting what is shown in the navigation pane (under Quick Access) and in C:/Users/<myuser>/?

I followed the steps in the this tutorial and was able to remove the Quick Access feature from the navigation pane of Windows Explorer - thanks for this.

However, the Quick Access feature can still be seen in the navigation pane of the save dialog explorer when trying to save a file from a web browser, for example. Do you have any tips on how to remove the Quick Access feature from this location as well?

Well, in windows 10, microsoft not only replaced the old "favorites" in navigation pane of explorer with quick access (merging it with recent places), but also merged them with explorer's jump list. It is now not possible to pin some dirs in jumplists without pinning them also in quick access...

So, is there any way to restore the old and independed "favorites" menu in navigation pane? Note that the "links" folder remain into the user folder in windows 10?

Thanks Shawn When I was looking at your request for the reg files I saw that the one in root wasn't done and I thought maybe I misread the Tut..LOL But it is now out of the navigational pane but the folders are still there but I think that maybe they should be..
