Windows 10: Windows Partially Freezing

Hello,


I've been experiencing random freezing to which my screen will freeze and become unresponsive to commands. I can move the mouse, but all things either freeze, leave ghost images or I cant interact with all together. I've had two incidents three days apart in which I've had to restart my entire system and its worrying as to what is causing the issue. I've done multiple things as to what I've figure what could be conflicting? At this point I'm looking at my GPU for cause but the fact that the display doesn't stop showing completely is alarming. I've tried DISM and sfcscannow and attempt at system restore, with the same result to occur two-three days later.


The only errors ive been experiencing could be motherboard related, since updating my bios isnt working atm. Neither is trying to reinstall the programs that come with my mother board

If the issue persists, I suggest you to run
System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

  • Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
  • Select System Maintenance.

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
