    i want to change my language for non-unicode programs but when i click "change system locale" it dosent do anything

    if you need any more info i will be more than happy to say

    path: Control Panel > Time & Language > Region >Additional date, time & regional settings > Region > Language for non-Unicode programs

    Language fro non unicode program

    Hi Boris,

    Follow the steps below to set up non-unicode language in windows 10

    1. In search tab type "Region" and press enter.

    2. In new window select "Administrative"

    3. then click on "change system locale"

    4. Select which language to use when displaying text in programs that do not support Unicode, and click/tap on
    OK.

    Thanks for your time and troubles taken, Karthicka_R.

    Went through the steps 1 to 5 and then 7.

    After restarting, checked; still, Tamil is not found in the list of languages for 'Change System Locale'.

    (In fact, I had done this before raising this query. On reading your reply, I removed Tamil and went through the steps as listed above in my reply. Since the language pack was already installed, I didn't have to do the step-5; the screen also indicated that
    the language pack is already there.)

    Setting the System Locale for non-Unicode programs is in Windows 10 in exactly the same place as it was in Windows 7 & 8:
