Cannot browse or go to normal startup screen

I’m doing my own thing when my avast antivirus alerts me that it had successfully trapped a malware from a suspicous looking program. So, I look in the Task Manager that this “SAntivirus” was the problem, I cannot end its task for some reason I don’t know. I check its property location and see one of its program says “SAntivirus Uninstaller” to which I run it, it asks me to restart my computer and I confirm. It also had an alias name “a n t i v i r u s s e r v i c e”, too. Then three seconds later, my screen pops back up and says “Choose your keyboard layout” and shows a list of keyboard layout then I click U.S. as my default. It takes me to a screen that says “Choose an option” and the list I can choose from is “Troubleshoot” and “Turn off your PC”. The turn off your pc just literally turns off my pc. In the “Troubleshoot” area, I can see two options, “Recovery Manager” and “Advanced options”. Advanced Options have 6 choices and Recovery Manager has 4 choices to choose from that I have taken a picture for both. I want to return my PC back to normal, but I don’t have any backup and don’t know what to do. Please do help me as soon as possible!!!

    :)

    Hi Gary,

Did you follow the below steps to enable the Normal startup?

    • Click on the General tab.
    • Select the Normal startup option.
    • Click on Apply and Ok.

If yes, you may follow the below steps to check if the computer boots to selective startup:

    • Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
    • Type msconfig and hit Enter.
    • Select the General tab.
    • Select the Selective startup option, check the box for load startup services, load startup items, use original boot configuration will be enabled.
    • Restart the computer.
If it boots successfully to selective startup then you can boot to normal startup from selective startup.

Please check the above scenario and get back with the results.

    Thank you.
