Windows 10: cant properly use 2nd drive

Discus and support cant properly use 2nd drive in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; my second drive has a corrupted version of windows on it that doesn't work and I've tried everything to delete it, I'm just wanting to not spend money...     cant properly use 2nd drive


    my second drive has a corrupted version of windows on it that doesn't work and I've tried everything to delete it, I'm just wanting to not spend money on a new drive, the only thing i need is more drive space, after all modern warfare has a very big file size... i just need someone to help me delete all the data on the drive

    2nd Drive Files not Showing in Quick search

    Hi all,

    Background: I'm running Windows 10, anniversary update; with two physical drives, each also shown as a logical volume (C and D).

    Issue: When searching from the Start menu, files on my C drive show up, however the ones on D do not.

    Troubleshooting I have done so far:

    • Verify that the 2nd Drive (D) has indexing enabled
    • Verify that the folders on the drive also have indexing enabled
    • Rebuild index
    • The files DO appear when searching the 2nd drive via Windows Explorer, but NOT through the start search
    Is this a known issue, and what steps can I take to resolve this?

    How to view 2nd drive?

    Nope, not listed.

    About half an hour ago I checked to see whether it's faulty, so ran it as a primary drive in AHCI mode. Win10 installed perfectly, in just a few minutes. So drive is fine.
