    Hey!

I am trying to format my 32 GB sd card but it gets ejected as soon as I try to format it.

    Methods I have tried:

1 Try to format from my mobile phone POCO M3.

2 Try to format from default windows formatter.
3 Try to format from "sd card formatter software" https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/.

4 Try to format from the solution given in this Microsoft answer.

I have already taken the backup, I only want to format my sd card completely.

    :)

  2. Format SD Card

    Hi! BarryKeane

I'm Marvin an Independent Advisor, and I will help you with your issue.

    Try with this

Method 1. Run Diskpart to Format SD Card That Won't Format

Step 1. Press Windows key and R key at the same time, type cmd in the Run box, hit Enter to open the command prompt(cmd.exe).

Step 2. Type diskpart to run Diskpart Utility.

Step 3. Type list disk to list the drives on the computer.

Step 4. Type select disk 1 (The number should be replaced by the exact drive number of your SD card).

Step 5. Type clean to run the clean utility (this will wipe all data on the SD card so make sure you saved a copy or backup of the card data).

Step 6. Type create partition primary to create a new partition on the SD card.

Step 7. Type select partition 1 (it should be the newly created partition on step 6).

Step 8. Type active to make the partition active.

Step 9. Type format fs=ntfs (or format fs=fat32)to format the partition to the desired file system.

If you still having problems with this, I will be around to help you.

    Regards.

  3. Card Reader is automatically ejecting

    Hello,

I'd like to help you with this issue.

First, lets start by right clicking your Start Menu and finding Command Prompt.

    Once you're in Command Prompt

    Type "diskpart"

    Type "list disk"

Once your disks are listed, make sure you select the SD card

    To select the SD card,

Type "select disk _" and the number of the drive for your SD card.

(for example "select disk 1" if disk 1 is your SD card"

Once you've selected your SD card

    Type "clean"

    Type "create partition primary"

And once the partition is done being created, open File Explorer and click on the SD Card.

It will ask you to format it, in there you will be able to restore the full SD card.

Once the SD card is formatted you’ll then be able to use it without it ejecting.

    Hope this helps!

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    -Brien
