    Windows 10 21H1 screen-light sensor issue..


    ..after upgrade to SSD from HDD on Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7132 laptop. I tried to screen-record the issue to show "how" it acts, the display, but it didn't record the display dimming. I goes from lighter to darker but not black, every few seconds. The amount of time between the dimming is different as well. I searched out different trouble-shooting and ended up looking into Device Manager for Sensor, and Light Sensor. I don't have it on my laptop, or PC for that matter so I may be dead in the water. I did check for "hidden devices" as well. I am thinking of reinstalling Windows 10, but wanted to ask first if there might be something else causing the dimming display that I might look into instead. If someone can help, I would so appreciate it. My laptop was purchased in 2011-12, and everything went fine with the install of the SSD, and the download of a new installation of Windows 10 using Media tool. One thing that puzzled me was I still had to search out the latest version (21H1) after downloading Win 10 but that wasn't a big problem. Just don't want to go further without asking for help, thanks much, in advance - - - Updated - - - I figured this out, but pretty embarrassed since it has to do with my laptop being plugged in, and the battery is charged. I just leave it plugged in since I don't move it most of the time. I know the cable has never fit "tight" like it should, so I'll be looking at getting a new cable. The lighting issue is gone now that I unplugged it. Not sure if that's the bottom line or not so anyone is welcome to chime in. It's not 100% solved in other words, but I can stop the lighting issue if I unplug it

    hello.

    I have Vaio laptop (VPCF116FG) and it had windows 7 Home premium.

    I upgrade it to windows 10 and all of thing is good. but I have a problem:

    1- when start the windows, often brightness sensor and all of the brightness feature all disable. its mean light sensor dont work and I cant reduce or increase brightness manually.

    of course when restart computer, all of thing being ok.
