Windows 10: Some Taskbar Buttons are not Responsive

Hi, I got a brand new HP Envy laptop, and just after 3 weeks of occasional use June 11, 2021 some buttons on the Task Manager are not responding. Start, Search, Calendar, Power, WiFi, and Volume buttons are not responding, the rest of the buttons work. I tried everything I found online, here, and on YouTube and nothing worked.I also tried to use "Recovery" to an earlier date and it failed. it gave me an error:"An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. 0x80070005"So much for a new $1,100 Laptop :Thanks in advance for your help

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Is this the first time you experienced the issue?

Problem with a combine taskbar icons.

In Windows 10, you can personalize the settings of your taskbar. If there are multiple applications opened, same applications will be combined under one taskbar button. If you want to change this setting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Press the Start button.
• Click on the Settings app.
• Select Personalization.
• At the left side of your window, click on Taskbar.
• Under Combine taskbar buttons, choose Never.

Volume button is invisible on taskbar.

Hi,

You can customize which icons to appear on the taskbar. Based on the information you have provided it possible that the volume was not set to appear on the taskbar. To customize the taskbar notification area, you can refer to the steps below:

• On the Start menu, type Settings, and then hit Enter.
  
• Under Notification area, click Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  
• Click Volume button to toggle it on or off.
