    Hi,my monitor goes off intermittently every 2-5 minutes. It's connected through a VGA cable to my laptop.The only thing that helped is that if I run a game in the background it would stop. SO I chose a small game and have to run it on my background all the time so I can use the monitor. It's an LG monitor don't know what type. I tried searching the internet but nothing helped me. I tried to change the settings around and nothing helped me. Today even with the game in the background it started to happen again every 20minutes. I even tried changing the cable and nothing changed...

    One of 2 monitors goes off intermittently

    Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.836

    One of my 2 PC monitors has just started going off intermittently. When it goes off it stays off typically about 30 seconds and comes back for a few minutes. It has done this once or twice before buy many many weeks ago and previously many weeks before that.

    The power cable is firmly attached. I would appreciate any suggestions a to what could be going on.

    I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

    Please follow below steps:

    • Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
    • Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

    Windows 10 (sometimes) goes to sleep after only 2 minutes of inactivity

    Hello Mark,

    Your screensaver might be one of the possible reasons why your computer goes to sleep every time the computer is inactive. It is possible that the idle time is set every 2 minutes. Having said that, you can try adjusting the waiting time by following the
    steps below and see if it makes any difference:

    • Go to Control Panel, click on Appearance and Personalization.
    • Select Personalization.
    • Click on Screen Saver at the bottom right.
    • Adjust the waiting time and hit Apply.

    If the issue persists, we recommend trying the suggestions posted by Aleksandr 10 in this
    thread. Most of the Community users found his suggestions
    helpful.
