    Laptop shutdowns instead of sleeping only when on battey.


    When I click on the sleep option from start menu while my Asus fx553vd laptop is plugged in, it simply sleeps and if I reopen the lid it or press any key it wakes up immediately. But when I'm on battery power and I do the same it just shutdowns and I need to press the power button to start it again. I've seen other question similar to mine in this community but none of them helped, I've tried updating windows and intel MEI drivers and bios too. Nothing is working. Thank you!

    Laptop does not shutdown when i click shutdown and close the lid, it sleeps instead.

    Whenever i click shutdown on my laptop, i directly close the lid. However, the laptop sleeps instead of shutdown. The bulb icon on my laptop which indicates the laptop is sleeping tells me that the laptop did not shutdown properly. I have to open the lid
    again for it to shutdown properly. Please tell me that there's a fix to this. Thank you.

    Laptop shutdown instead of going to sleep when closing the cover

    Hi, after I did the latest update of windows 10 , version 1803 on June 9/18, my Toshiba C50Dt-A laptop will shutdown instead of going to sleep when closing the cover. The power & sleep settings look fine. All newer windows update after that did not have
    a fix for this issue.

    Anyone has an answer to this issue? Thanks!

    Sleep instead of Shutdown

    I have a desktop computer running Windows 10. It has been working with no problems.

    Recently it stopped shutting down. When shutdown is selected, it appears to shutdown, the monitor reports the video signal is lost and the lights go off on the PC.

    However it you touch the keyboard it start back up again and goes straight into the desktop.

    I have checked the configuration and the sleep is disabled and the power button appears to be configured correctly.

    It doesn't appear to relate to any processing still running.

    Suggestions appreciated.
