Windows 10: Whenever I press the backslash key, my cursor jumps around

I have not seen ANYONE else have this same problem. I don't use backslash a whole lot, but the its annoying using the ALT code every time I need to type it in. It's definitely software related because I ran a hardware test and backslash was recognizable. However, in a browser or files or any other program, it just jumps my cursor somewhere close to where it was. Like I can just spam it and it will slowly but surely work its way across the screen in an unorganized matter. I have not idea what is causing this to happen.

Basically, cursor jumping can happen due to multiple issue and on multiple app. We need few information regarding the issue.

• What is the Email client/app where the cursor jumping occurred?
  
• Did you face this issue on any other apps?
  
• Since when are you facing this issue?

However, let us also try few steps and see if it helps.

Method 1: Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
   
2. Change the view by option on the top right to
   Large icons.
   
3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the
   view all option on the left panel.
   
4. Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

If the issue persist follow method 2 and check if it helps.

Method 2: I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the mouse driver from device manager and check.

1. Press Windows and X keys together
2. Click on Device Manager.
   
3. Select Mice and other pointing devices from the list.
   
4. Uninstall by right clicking on the driver.
   
5. Restart the system, the driver will be automatically installed.

Cursor jumps while Typing

Hello

I have upgrade a couple of my PC to windows 10, ever since when typing in some programs the cursor jumps to the home position and I type over when I have just type.

Which is becoming a pain, if I press a key wait for the wheel then press the next and so on and so forth it would but this is becoming tiresome.
