Windows 10: Renaming Photos in MY Pictures

I went to rename a picture and somehow all my pictures were renamed the same. Can this be reversed? I called Dell Tech and they did a Go Back but it did not fix back to my original names of the photos. Now have 351 photos all named the same thing* Moved from Internet Explorer

- Are you using Photo app to rename the photos?

- Did you try renaming the photos directly from File explorer?

- Do you get any message?



I suggest you to rename photos from File Explorer and check if it helps:

Follow the steps to rename photo from File Explorer:

1. Right click on the start menu and select File Explorer.

2. Click on pictures present on the left side of the page.

3. Right on the picture you want to rename and select the option rename.

JimWynne - you are replying with options under Pictures file. I'm having the same problems as these people but under the new Photos app. What I do now is open the photo in Photo Gallery and then add to the Pictures file then I'm able to name it properly.

TOO many extra steps - the new photo app should have the option to be renamed

 

when i try to right click to rename a photo in windows 10 the option is not there
