Windows 10: Is it possible to extend default 3D Viewer to show my custom model format?

Is there an API to make a kind of plugin to view models in my custom format? I don't want to convert them into a well-known format that 3D Viewer supports because there're too much of these files i need to viewP.S. I didn't find the correct sub-topic related to the 3D viewer app

Custom stickers in Paint 3D don't export to 3D Viewer

I've created a simple object in Paint 3D, and added some custom stickers (.jpegs from my files) to the object, but Paint 3D crashes when I try to save it as a 3D model. When I open the 3D viewer the model appears just as a black silhouette. I've discovered
that if I remove from the object any shapes to which I have added a custom sticker it will export OK. It only crashes if I include shapes to which I have added a custom sticker. Is there any way to resolve this problem?

 

Models on 3D builder application are not displaying normally.

1. Are you facing this issue with all the models in 3D Builder?
2. Have you downloaded the models or have you created you own models using 3D builder application?
   
3. In which file format are the models saved?
4. Were you able to view the models in the 3D builder normally, prior to this issue?

Windows 10 default image viewer

I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to change the default image viewer to Paint.

• In search,
• Type Default Programs.
• Check whether Windows Photo Viewer is listed in the list.
• Left click on the photo viewer and select the option paint.
