    How can we upgrade windows server 2019 to 2022 in KVM based virtual machine with trial license.


    Dear Team,We are using windows server 2019 evaluation as a virtual machine in Linux KVM environment and We want to upgrade the OS from windows server 2019 to windows server 2022. So, We would like to know that how we can upgrade in KVM based VM and Do we need license in order to perform this activity.

    Transferring Windows 10 license to virtual machine

    Hello

    I've just built a server and set up a KVM hypervisor on it, and now I want to transfer a little-used mini PC with a Window 10 license to a VM. What implications are there? Can I just virtualize the machine and continue with the VM, since I have a licensed
    copy of Windows 10 on the mini PC?

    I have a question about how to license virtual windows desktop under Ubuntu KVM server

    My scenario:

    we have a Linux Ubuntu installed as KVM server, and want to put 6 virtual windows 7 pro desktop machines. two people will connect the windows 7 from linux and 4 people will connect from windows machine. Each virtual desktop will be dedicated to each
    employee. I search around and someone said I should get the VDA license.

    If I purchase 6 VDA licenses, should I still need the license for the windows 7 pro virtual machine, if not how to active the virtual windows 7 pro desktop? Or if I buy 7 windows 7 pro retail license and activate it without the VDA license, it this
    against the license term or not?

    Move windows 10 pro license from virtual machine to physical machine.

    I need to move a windows 10 pro license from a virtual machine to a physical machine. The license has been bought as windows 10 pro not upgrade etc. The thing is that the computer (Mac book pro) where the virtual machine used to live is now dead beyond
    repair and to expensive to use. So I want to install windows 10 on a dell laptop now but I cant deactivate the old license on the virtual machine. Any suggestions?
