Windows 10: FSX devoted fan for 16 years! Reinstall Error 1722

What frustration, 16 years with this a various uninstalls and reinstalls and without a hitch. Yesterday did a Windows 11 Reset to clean up the system. Went to reinstall FSX and at the very end of the installation get the 1722 error followed by 1603. Microsoft apparently has a "fix" only it doesn't work KB928080. Fix is so old maybe it died over the years! Please if anyone has a proven fix for this, please help me out! Don't want to have to completely reinstall Windows 11!!! Will post a pic of the fix results with cmd prompt as supplied by Microsoft.

The error 1722 appears when Windows fails to register fonts when reinstalling Flight Simulator X. We recommend that you follow the steps

here to resolve this particular error code.

Note: When using the command prompt in Step 7, make sure to run it as administrator.

To launch the command prompt as administrator, follow these steps:

• Click Start.
• Type Command Prompt.
• Right-click the result and choose Run as administrator.

Let us know if you're able to reinstall Flight Simulator X after following these steps.

 

FSX error 1722

I just did a factory reset of my computer and when i tried to reinstall fsx i got the Error 1722 i tried to follow the fix here Error 1722 when reinstalling Flight Simulator X but the download link is not working, has anyone found a new download link

FSX installation error 1722

Hello everybody, I have a big problem with installing fsx to my windows 10 pc. I reset my pc because it was slow and then I tried reinstalling fsx and when it was about 99% complete an error massage came saying
error 1722 there is a problem with this package.... so please if someone could help me with this problem please do because I'am stuck with this error and I have not played fsx for about 3 months now please help if someone knows the solution
for this error.
