Windows 10: Arial font rendering issue on the browsers of Windows 10.

Hi Team,Our website is using Arial font as a primary font to render content and recentlyfor around 1 month, we got a lot of user's reports that mentioned the font rendering wired. we found a lot of similar issues on Excel onlineExcel Online text showing as symbols instead of Arial Font: RedirectingExcel online displaying fonts Arial and Times New Roman as Wingdings: RedirectingStrange formatting on Excel browser interface: RedirectingArial converts to Wingdings in shared Excel workbook. RedirectingThe situation is very similar that some users could solve this issue by restarting the system.

Arial font issue


Arial font rendering issue after some W10 update.
Occurrence: PDF files and all browsers.
Arial font working OK in other applications. Settings > display > scale and layout 100%. "Adjust ClearType text" OK.

Arial Narrow Bold font renders in Bold Italic

When my Arial Narrow font is set to Bold, it renders in Bold Italic. I tried: rebooting the OS and reinstalling the Arial Narrow family from a backup, but the issue still persists.

I noticed a workaround in deleting the Arial Narrow Bold Italic variant, but I don't want to do that for the font to render properly. Otherwise, if I choose
Arial Narrow Bold, rather than set Arial Narrow to Bold, it displays fine.

I observed (via Office font selection) that each Arial variant is OpenType, except for a TTF version of Arial Narrow I somehow got long ago. However, in my Windows fonts folder, I supposedly have the
full Arial Narrow font family (which reports as TTF).

Can anyone educate me as to why this issue persists and provide clarity on how this rendering works? Thanks in advance!

TELUGU Font is not properly rendered after i've upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

I could fix my issue by doing the following in Firefox:

1. Add Telugu to Languages in Options > Content > Languages > Choose.

Move it below the list if you want English rendering of websites.

2. Change the font face of Telugu to an installed font face in Options > Content > Fonts and Colors > Advanced.

I guess the problem is that all third party browsers are rendering Telugu font in a non-Indic font face, Arial Unicode for example. This causes troubles with rendering.

The following issue is not present in Edge and IE as said by the original poster.
