Windows 10: Unable to install apps on Microsoft store due to error 0x80070424

The title says it all, I'm unable to download anything from Microsoft store. I don't remember experiencing that problem prior to the clean install but after that, I can't install any games or apps. Every time I point the cursor to the "Install" option, the cursor shows a null symbol which means that I'm unable to install from Microsoft store. I have tried to clear cache but it didn't fix it. Is there a way to patch it so that I can install anything ? Any help would be appreciated.

Yesterday I reinstalled Windows 10 because it became too bloated. I installed all my usual apps like Firefox, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Visual Studio, etc. and wanted to install Microsoft Emulator from the Microsoft Store. Then I realised that I cannot install
any apps from Store, installation always fails with 0x80070424 (I found about it as "The specified service does not exist as an installed service.").

I tried the following:

- Windows Store and BITS troubleshooter from Control Panel (found no problems)

- sfc /scannow (it didn't find anything wrong)

- dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth (successful)

And the error stayed the same. What can I do?

Unable to install apps from Windows 10 Store

I'm unable to install / update / repair any app from Win10 Store.
I couldn't find any solutions, hence posting here.

This keeps happening despite repeatedly resetting Windows.
Once I reset my PC, Store seems to work for about 1~2 days and then starts showing the following error msg:

I followed what Microsoft suggested:

1. reset Windows 10 Store app through cmd and gui [both failed ]
   
2. almost every link suggested by Google (windows 10 store not working - Google Suche)
   
3. Also contacted Microsoft Support as a last resort, but to no avail.
   

Lastly, I thought this was because of my University's restrictions on Win 10 education; however, other PCs & laptops [with same version of OS] don't seem to have this problem.

It is able to update Windows apps like Microsoft Office 360 and other system apps distributed through Win10 Store.

Has anyone else faced this problem before in any dist. of Windows 10? Did you find any solutions?
