    BSOD Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap


    Just upgraded my pc and have had a few apps freezing and a couple of BSODs. Parts changed:- i7-9700k to i9-14900k- ASUS Z390-A Prime to MSI Z790 Tomahawk- GSKill Trident Z Neo 2x32gb DDR4 to GSkill Trident Z5 2x32gb DDR5- EVGA 750W G2 to beQuiet Dark Power 13Storage drives & windows install carried over from previous build. Could this be causing any issues?     Thanks. I'm on with it. A couple of questions 1) Info above mentioned something about Western Digital 5tb corruption - that is my external drive I had plugged in to back up all the files when things started going wrong. Does this indicate my backup files might be corrupted? 2) What is 13A F7 7F 4E please? Also I've uninstalled an extension (adblock plus) from Firefox. Had issues with that before and the problem only started when I started firefox. Bios - .20 was only updated recently by HP Support Assistant - wondered if that had caused issues. Version .21 states you cannot downgrade bios after installing it. Might leave doing that till last! - - - Updated - - - Tuneup.log - Google Drive - - - Updated - - -

    - - - Updated - - - Fixing C at boot up - 100% completed Running hardware diagnostics on memory Ran Samsung magician extensive test on ssd and no errors found Updated graphics driver to latest Intel one before doing all the above and that seemed to stabilise things. - - - Updated - - -

    BSOD Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap

    [Windows 10 BSOD] Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap

    Unexpected kernel mode trap BSOD always appears when I try to update Windows 10 or reset the PC.

    I've tried many solutions, such as:

    -Disconnecting external devices

    -Booting in safe mode

    -Memory diagnostic

    -chkdsk

    none of which worked. Any suggestions to this problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
