Windows 10: The device cannot start. Code 10 {Process failed} The operation could not be performed.

I am encountering an issue with myspeakers. When I enter the Device Manager, it shows that there is an error with the speakers, and under the specifications, it displays error code 10: "The device cannot start. Code 10 {Operation failed} The operation could not be completed."When I try to update the driver, it says that a driver was found but a problem occurred, resulting in the same error, code 10. Can you please help me resolve this issue?

If you unsure of the Realtek audio device/driver (code 10) issues, just surf the web.

From the above description, I understand you are unable to use USB microphone on your PC running Windows 10.



A Code 10 error is generated in Device Manager in one of the following situations:

• 
  Device Manager cannot start the device.
  
• 
  One of the drivers that the device needs does not start.
  
• 
  Device Manager has insufficient information to recognize the error that is bubbled up by the device driver.
  

Note: In this situation, the Code 10 error can be a very generic message that indicated some kind of unspecified driver or device problem.



Since you have already tried updating, uninstalling-reinstalling the USB device driver, I suggest you to try
compatibility mode option by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.



Step 1: Compatibility mode runs the program in the current version of Windows using the settings from previous version of Windows.

  Download the latest driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website or locate the downloaded driver setup file of the previous operating system in your PC.
  
• 
  Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  Properties.
  
• 
  Click on the Compatibility tab, check the box
  Run this program in compatibility mode for, select Windows 10 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
  
• 
  Once the driver is installed in compatibility mode,
  restart the PC for the effective changes to take place.
  
• 
  Check if the issue is resolved.
  

Step 2: You can also follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type
  Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
  
• 
  Select the top most search result and follow from step 2 from the article
  
  Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows (Also applies to Windows 10).
  
• 
  Check if the issue is resolved.

I have neither changed anything in the settings nor downloaded a new program. All of a sudden the WiFi connection was gone and in Device Manager I got "The device cannot be started. (Code 10)

{Operation failed}

The operation could not be carried out." for the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2. I'm assuming this is the cause of my problems.
