Windows 10: ASUS laptop ntelR CeleronR N4020 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz WIndows 11 touchpad

The touchpad on my otherwise normally functioning computer suddenly and automatically stops working.I am then forced to use the keyboard to get to the touchpad settings screen where every time I see the Touchpad has been toggled off.I turn it on and all is normal.But this is a new development, perhaps after the last time I updated the system.Device Manager shows all okay. Someone advised that rolling back the driver would correct the problem.But I cannot roll back back or uninstall drivers either. And yet when I check for driver updates, it's up to date.I am looking for some insights into what

Asus laptop throttles to 1 ghz after undetermined period


Ok nvm, throw the thermal paste idea out the window, after an "intensive" gaming session, the cpu throttles to 1 ghz, and is stuck at that, even after cooling down.

Can't upgrade from 8.1 to 10 - CPU less than 1 GHZ

I don't think that is the case. If you look at the picture in #0 you can see, that the CPU is running ca 4500MHZ at the time. I ran Intel Extreme Tuning CPU Stress Test at the same time as running the setup.exe from Windows 10, and allthough the CPU-speed was ca 4500MHZ win10 claim the CPUspeed to be less than 1 Ghz, as shown in the picture.

I think MS has to look into this install procedure again ...
