Computer does not have bootable drive, not recognizing SSDs for fresh install

I laptop came with 2SSD slots, one with a 1tb SSD with the OS on it. A few weeks ago I added a second SSD with no issue. Now, I am trying to upgrade the 1tb SSD to a new 4TB SSD. To do this, I cloned the 1tb SSD onto the 4TB SSD and then tried booting from USB the new 4TB SSD that I had just cloned. This did not work, and I got an unmountable boot volume error. I now believe this is because it wouldn’t let me boot Windows from USB SSD enclosure, but I could be wrong on that. I tried to solve the issue by doing a number of things, one of those things being running the command chkdsk /f /r. I

fresh windows install on SSD. Bios will not recognize SSD as bootable drive

ive got an old Lenovo G50-45. I wanted to upgrade the HD to SSD so I bought an HP 512GB SSD. At first the drive was only visible in disk part but after I created a volume and partitioned it and assigned a drive letter it became visible everywhere. Next I tried using clonezilla on the drive to clone the old HD but the bios wouldn't recognize the drive at all. I tried disabling safe boot in the BIOS but no change, sata controller was in AHCI mode. As far as I can tell the bios is uptodate. I ended up downloading windows 10 to the SSD and plugged it in but it still wouldn't recognize it. At this point the HD is still installed and the SSD is connected using a usb/sata3 cable that I just purchased earlier today. After more reading, chat GPT, and YouTube I thought the issue might be its not reading bc the HD is still installed so I then removed the HD and installed the SSD with windows 10 on it and still no bootable drive found. I then switched back to the HD via the usb/sata 3 cable and the system kept rebooting so I removed the SSD and installed the HD alone and went through a recovery and the whole thing is wiped lol so now I can't get back in to see any system info. please help..Why won't the BIOS see the drive at all? I don't care about cloning the HD I have nothing of value on there I just want a fresh install. the only thing I can think of is a driver or SSD compatibility issue. I double checked the firmware for the SSD via device manager auto update scan even though its brand new

edit: I reset the BIOS settings and my HD is booting normally

    Lenovo G50-45 {80E3}

    CPU: AMD A8-6410

    mother board: lancer B52.

    Bios version A2CN38WW (v2.06)

    Bootmode (UEFI)

    USB boot (enabled)

    Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

    1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
    2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
    3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

Computer does not have bootable drive, not recognizing SSDs for fresh install

Fresh installation of windows 10 onto SSD

I've recently bought a laptop which came with the OS installed on the HDD. However, I've bought a M.2 SSD that I want to load the operating system onto and boot from.

I've tried cloning the hard drive to the SSD to fresh installing windows 10 onto the SSD except neither works. When I tried cloning the HDD, the files appeared on the SSD, but in the BIOS settings it wasn't recognized as a bootable drive. On the other hand,
when I tried to do a fresh install of the OS onto the SSD, it automatically re-installed on the HDD without giving me an option.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Chris
