  1. Windows 11 HDR issues

I have an HDR400 compatible monitor. I had a laptop with a 3070 and an 11800h and using MiniDisplayport and everything was working okay. My laptop broke a few weeks ago and I'm currently using my older PC. It was working fine with HDR using HDMI, but when I switch it over to Displayport, which I am using an adapter for, both the Minidisplayport cable and adapter are dp 1.4 compatible HDR is no longer supported. This PC is currently running a 750 Ti and an i5-9400. I am not sure what brand the 750 Ti is but it defeinately had a DP port that works, though it may be the problem and doesn't supp

  2. HDR support for windows 11

Hi Nadeem. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

I would contact LG Support which is included with the monitor purchase for at least the first year, during which they must get it working properly or repair or replace it under warranty.

Try these troubleshooting steps for HDR monitor display in Windows 11:

  3. Windows 11 HDR issue

    Hi all,

Having an issue when i turn HDR on through my new machine running Windows 11 which is causing the screen to look like the image below.

    imgur.com

The monitor is a Dell G3223Q 4k HDR, which ive hooked up to my old rig (Windows 10) and the HDR worked fine. GPU is 7900XTX Phantom.

Has anyone encoutered this before in windows 11? I'm out of ideas.

    I've tried:

Eliminating monitor issue by running it with another machine

Installing windows 10 monitor drivers and updating firmware

    Different cables (DP & HDMI)

    Different Color Profiles in windows

    Different monitor OSD settings

    Please help, thanks.

  4. Windows 11 HDR issues

Windows 11 is changing my screen brightness while I am actively using Apps

Could you confirm if HDR is enabled on your system? If not, To enable HDR and Auto HDR in Windows 11, please follow these steps:

    1. Enable HDR in Windows 11:
      • Navigate to Settings > System > Display.
      • Toggle on "Use HDR" under the "HDR" section.
    2. Enable Auto HDR:
      • Within the same Display settings, toggle on "Use Auto HDR".
Once HDR and Auto HDR are enabled, you'll notice the "SDR content brightness" slider under the HDR settings. Now, proceed to adjust the SDR content brightness slider:

    1. Adjust the SDR Content Brightness Slider:
      • The SDR content brightness slider regulates the brightness of non-HDR content, such as the desktop and file explorer, when HDR is enabled. This adjustment may potentially resolve the issue you're facing.
If the issue persists after these adjustments, you may consider the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Connect a different monitor to your PC to determine if the issue lies with your monitor or your PC.
    • Alternatively, if you're experiencing significant difficulties, reverting to Windows 10 could be an option to explore.
Please let me know if you require any further assistance or clarification.
